Gary J. Rudolf

Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD), Designer

As the Principal of Cherry Creek, Inc., Gary is responsible for all phases of business & design development. Gary brings with him over 26 years of experience directly in the kitchen and bath industry, as well as over 34 years in the construction industry. Gary has demonstrated over the years an ability to create spectacular designs that capture the vision of his clients.

His patient nature makes it easy to consider the different options when developing conceptual plans as well as choosing the many different options available today. Gary has a unique ability to design many different styles; whether it’s French Country, Soft Modern, Contemporary, Craftsman or Southwestern he enjoys developing the theme and carrying it through to every detail.

Gary has the distinction of being licensed as a Certified Kitchen Designer by the National Kitchen & Bath Association. The CKD certification is acquired only after 7 years of experience in the industry and a rigorous 2-day exam which tests not only the candidates construction knowledge but also evaluates his/her ability to solve design issues in a creative and functional manner.

Gary lives in Mankato with his wife Denise and their mellow Cocker Spaniel, Ella. He enjoys golf, woodworking, hiking, dogs, traveling and spending time with his family, especially his five granddaughters.

Garrick A. Rudolf

Client Services Manager/Designer

Garrick literally grew up in the business. He has always lived in a home being remodeled or personally involved in the building process if it was a new home. Garrick is our qualifying staff member holding our Minnesota General Contractors License.

He has an extremely broad knowledge of the construction process, and has personally built several homes performing all phases of the construction. His calm and reassuring personality is an essential ingredient during the construction process.

If an unexpected situation should arise during a remodel or cabinet installation, it’s a pretty safe bet that he’s encountered it before. If he hasn’t, his nature is to thoughtfully consider the options, discuss it with the client and proceed after a decision is made.

In addition to his construction background, Garrick has a discerning and creative eye that’s always looking for the creative solution – not just the easy solution. His sense of color and proportion are always sought out by our team and add that critical element that we call “Sensitivity to Detail.”

Garrick lives in North Mankato with his wife Julie and daughters Mikayla, Anna & Kaitlyn as well as their Brittany Spaniel aka “terror on paws” Mollie and new puppy, Maggie. He enjoys going to events with his family, golf, pheasant hunting, competitive marching bands, music, landscaping, and visiting with friends and clients.

Nicole Wolters

Interior Designer

Nicole was born and raised on a farm just outside the ‘big’ town of Norseland, MN. If you haven’t heard of it, she is not surprised. Fresh from the farm, Nicole graduated from Iowa Lakes Community College, receiving her Associate Science degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design(CADD). It wasn’t long after she became a graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato holding a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design.

While riding in the car one day to work, the radio posed Nicole with a question. What would you do, if you knew you couldn’t fail? Interior design was the first answer that popped into her head. So what was holding her back … nothing is impossible with God. It was at that moment she realized everything she was taught growing up on that farm: be selfless, relentless and defeat your impossibles. Nicole is now an interior design assistant and brings all she has learned to work everyday.

With her history in space planning and utilization, and her eye for detail, she is a great addition to our team. The closeness of the community she grew up in reflects her design and personality. She takes a sincere, personable approach with each client. It is her goal to fulfill her client’s vision, while incorporation a timeless tradition in this ever changing world.

Nicole now lives in St. Peter with her husband Brad and children Karissia and Braden. As far as hobbies go, it’s spending time with family and volunteering at her local church. If she finds time in between, she enjoys crafts, cooking, landscaping, and jogging.

Christina Sample

Associate Kitchen & Bath Designer

Christina joined the Cherry Creek’s design team in May of 2013. She has passionate enthusiasm for the design process coupled with an attention for detail. Using her strong spatial skills, she creates highly functional spaces for her clients while maintaining a beautiful design that reflects the client’s vision of how they want the space to look.

Christina’s path into kitchen & bath design is unconventional. After twelve years of teaching high school science and health, Christina yearned for a career change. In 2012 after working with a career coach, she went back to school to earn her Kitchen & Bath Design certificate through Century College in White Bear Lake, MN. She was reassured of her career change when she was awarded the 2012-2013 Outstanding Student Award for Kitchen & Bath Design at Century College and when her final project placed third at the national level in the 2013-2014 National Kitchen & Bath Association’s Student Design Competition.

Since graduating from Century College, Christina has earned the certification of Associate Kitchen & Bath Designer (AKBD) through the NKBA and was a winner of a 2015 Current Choice Award of Crystal Cabinet Works’ 2015 Crystal Design Awards.

Christina lives just outside of St. Clair with her husband, David, on a hobby farm with a vineyard. Her and her husband maintain 360 Marquette grapevines and sell their harvest to Chankaska Creek Ranch & Winery. Christina enjoys practicing yoga, creating slab pottery work, and relaxing with friends and family over a bottle of wine and beautiful sunsets.
